Forget Fast Food, Slow Cooked Meats Are Best - Smoker Reviews

In the days of fast foods, pizza delivery in 30 minutes, and instant gratification a microwave provides, it's a welcome relief to see that people like you are still interested in enjoying the finer things in life - beef brisket that has been smoked for 12 to 18 hours out in the backyard on your brand-new Bradley smoker that is so moist and delicious and full of smoke flavor that you cannot think of a better meal out there.

But don't just run out there and buy any smoker you find. There is an art to smoking meat - ribs, chicken, briskets, sausage, turkeys and ham.

You cannot be in a rush when you want to smoke your barbecue. You cannot throw a gallon of lighter fluid on your charcoal bricks or wood chips and get that fire flaming hot as fast as you can in your Brinkman Smoke n Grill Smoker.

You have to be patient, you have to coddle your fire, you have to keep it so low that you can barely see any flames coming out of the briquettes.

The hardest thing about using a Great Outdoors Masterbuilt, Char Broil, or Weber smoker is learning "how to smoke." And this will take you some trial and error in the beginning. The art of perfectly smoked meats comes from learning how to create the correct temperature that will produce the best quality meats time and again.

Many of the new electric smokers come with a built-in thermometer that make this process a little easier. And that makes one less thing you have to buy to get started smoking.

Smoking meats to make the perfect barbecue for a beautiful summer day requires about 5 to 10 hours of adjusting the fire, adding enough charcoal, wood and water, and the right air mixture and a little bit of love to make barbecue that is so delicious your family will never want to eat barbecue at a restaurant ever again.

Once you develop the art and skills of smoking succulent barbecue every time, you can expand your smoking empire and move up to a BBQ smoker trailer or a 55 gallon drum smoker and cook for the whole softball team.

And then if you really want to get fancy you can move up to a Horizon or Cookshack commercial smoker and move on to barbecue contests and competitions and try and win prizes for your famous barbecue.

By the way, the ultimate Horizon Smokehouse restaurant smoker will set you back around $29,000. But that's getting ahead of ourselves. You can find a perfectly good Masterbuilt electric smoker for as low as $200. That is so inexpensive you won't even think about making a homemade smoker which could take you several weekends to build.

Now that we've sufficiently wet your appetite, take a look around this site for reviews of the best electric smokers, smoker costs and the benefits of each kind, and recommendations.

Smoking is something that I think is overlooked by a lot of people. I agree that so many people think that they can get instant gratification with grilling. Also, the kind of wood you are smoking with makes a huge difference. I do briskets, steaks, and filets with my Bradley smoker, and usually go for a nice hickory or cedar. I prefer traditional smoking over electric, but electric does have its advantages. It is usually faster and cleaner. This is a very good article, and it can whet your appetite!

I like smoky taste in my food. This can come from an electric smoker. An electric smoker is quite easy to handle also no need to worry about lighting the fire. If you go through old fashioned way it take so much time but with electric smoker it take less time and you no need to worry about food. Once you set your electric smoker according to the food it will do its work and you can enjoy your party. Now I can make any type of food very quickly. No worry about the fire or smoke or to set the whole set outside the house. Its makes very easy to cook with same smoky taste. And one more thing that it is not so expensive and easy maintenance. Once you done your food you can clean quickly as compared to homemade smoker.I just love it.

Love eating food with electric smokers!

Cooking with smoke is a unique way to cook food. Smoking food adds no extra calories only flavor. Smoked meats and cheeses are expensive to purchase. So we can buy an electric smoker and enjoy smoking our own food items ans having at home just like restaurant food with family and friends.

I was very confused about the right smoker to be purchased for preparing barbecued food for the Easter party at my house when I stumbled upon this article. Frankly speaking, I just was not aware that electric smokers have such advantages and are available at such cheap price. My household has been using traditional smokers for some time now and we are not happy with the taste of food due lack of proper heating and over heating also at times. I feel that spending much time adjusting the required temperature is a daunting task but with electric smokers I don't think it will be problem at all as stated in the article. My whole family loves smoked barbecued food especially my kids and we are looking forward to great party this Easter.

I love eating barbecued food. This was the main reason why I purchased an electric smoker. They are an awesome way to rediscover our favorite food. If you want more comfort in cooking then electric smokers is the best option which works with precision and ease in addition to the choice of introducing smoke flavors you want. The food cooked gives an explosive taste to it which will definitely be more demanding and alluring to our taste buds. The meat gets cooked evenly with the smoky flavor tender and juicy. Indeed these smokers really helps us a lot to make our weekend barbecue party hassle free.

I would agree with this... there are too many people out there who think that they can have instant gratification when it comes to barbecuing. A good brisket is an art, and it takes time. but the product is so worth it! I do steaks, briskets, and filets in my Masterbuilt. I would also add the importance of what you are grilling with. you should put some good wood in the charcoal, you don't want to skimp there. If you want gastronomic excellence, definately go with the smokers.
